SNAIL SCHOOL
REGENERATION AND STRENGTHENING OF THE SCHOOL COMPLEX  "G.B.CAVALCASELLE"

The project proposal stems from a profound analysis of the urban, landscape and social context that led to the drawing up of a clear demand framework and to the pursuit of well-defined project objectives. The new school is located within an extensive urban fabric characterized by the presence of low single or semi-detached buildings with private gardens: the project is proposed as a natural evolution of the neighborhood and seeks symbiosis with it. The intent that guided the design choices is twofold: to make the school building not impacting and alien to a visual level but familiar to children and, at the same time, a didactically modern symbol, sustainable and at the forefront of an architecture that seeks the dialogue between natural and artificial environment constituting itself as an innovative element in the existing fabric.
